Cambridge will be opening its doors on the weekend of 7-9 September with a variety of free pre-bookable and drop-in events celebrating history, heritage and culture.  A range of libraries, gardens, museums and historic buildings normally closed to the public will open, and there will be walks, talks, tours and exhibitions highlighting aspects of the City's heritage and history.  There will be a tour of the Central Science Library, features on the swimming history of Cambridge, a combined punting and walking tour of Cambridge and lessons in Victorian party planning.  Advance booking is essential on all tours, booking opens on 23 July.  For accessibility information or other enquiries, call 01223 766766
