ISCARSAH, the ICOMOS International Scientific Committee on the Analysis and Restoration of Structures of Architectural Heritage, has produced the first edition of its newsletter.  ISCARSAH was founded in 1996 as a forum and network for engineers involved in the restoration and care of building heritage. Its members now include engineers, architects, scientists, specialists and educators from Europe, Asia, Australia and North and South America.  

The newsletter, with articles in English, French and Spanish, contains reports on:

  • Franciscan missions of San Antonio, Texas
  • The gates of Trinity College, Cambridge
  • The Endless Column by Brancusi in Romania
  • Spring Gingerbread Houses of Haiti
  • Damage to cultural heritage in the Japan earthquake 2011
  • Recent ISCARSAH meetings in 2011 and 2012
