Registration and the call for papers and posters are now open for the Future for Religious Heritage (FRH) conference on Extended Use of Religious Heritage Buildings.  The conference will take place at the Don Orione Conference Centre in Venice from 14 - 17 November 2012.  The cost of the conference is 300 euros (not including travel or accommodation) but early bird discounts and bursaries are available.   There will be case studies, break-out sessions and site visits.  Sessions will cover

  • different religious perspectives and how different faiths interpret extended use
  • the impact on heritage buildings
  • interpretation and tourism
  • authenticity and significance for the future

The call for papers and posters deadline is 15 September 2012, and the early bird booking deadline is 31 August 2012.  Full details are on the FRH website
