The 2nd Heritage Forum of Central Europe will be running a conference on The Limits of Heritage on 12-14 June 2013 in Krakow, Poland.  Researchers, professionals and postgraduate students are invited to submit abstracts of up to 300 words and a one-page CV by 10 February 2013 to the Forum Secretariat at heritageforum@mck.krakow.pl  

The conference organisers are looking for papers on the following themes, in relation to Central Europe and more globally:

  • The limits of heritage
  • Management of large-scale heritage properties
  • Heritage and politics
  • How to sell heritage?
  • Attractive cities - the role of heritage
  • Dissonant heritage
  • Intangible cultural heritage

The conference will be held in English.  The fee is 50 euros, to cover conference materials and catering, but not accommodation.  The venue will be the International Cultural Centre, Rynek Glowny 25, Krakow, Poland.  It is being organised by the International Cultural Centre, and will be held under the Polish presidency of the Visegrad Group.  For any queries, contact Dr Katarzyna Jagodzinska at heritageforum@mck.krakow.pl
